Ramswarup Bhaskar is an Assistant Professor in the area of Business Policy, Strategy & Entrepreneurship at IIM Jammu. He has received his master’s and doctorate degrees in Entrepreneurship from IIT Kanpur, India. With over nine years of experience in entrepreneurship research, education, and mentoring, he has contributed to various projects, publications, and policy interventions related to technology management, and commercialization.

Dr. Bhaskar has worked on multiple projects for govt. departments and agencies including CSTUP[1], AKTU[2], NSTEDB-DST[3].  As part of deliverables to these projects, he has devised the concept document for UP Startup Policy (S&T based strategic interventions were suggested in the identified critical areas – Agriculture, MSME and Tourism), Proposed the roadmap framework for CSTUP, Proposed the institutional mechanism of centre of excellence for AKTU, carried out a state-wide survey exercise for the NEA (National Entrepreneurship Awards) by the MSDE and carried out a nation-wide exercise for the impact assessment of NSTEDB-DST.

He has presented his research in reputed international conferences such as ACERE and USASBE and has published a book chapter and research articles including one in the UNESCAP[1] Tech-Monitor magazine, focusing on critical junctures in technology translation. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Shastri Research Grant from Shastri Indo – Canadian Institute.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Bhaskar has mentored several startups and is currently associated with EHM Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. as a startup mentor. He is also the co-founder of ClimAgro Analytics Pvt. Ltd., a startup that provides data-driven insights for climate-smart agriculture. Moreover, he has served as a startup mentor for Eureka'23, a startup competition at IIT Bombay.

Dr. Bhaskar's research interests include startup financing, knowledge partnerships, and technology commercialization. He is passionate about fostering entrepreneurial ecosystems that address societal challenges and create economic opportunities.
