Ravij Seth completed his Ph. D. in public administration from Pennsylvania State University, Harrisburg, USA. He has a Post Graduate Diploma in public management and policy from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He completed his master’s degree in production engineering and bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
His dissertation is on “Coal Railway Development in India through Public Private Partnerships.” He taught public administration course at the School of Public Affairs, Harrisburg, USA, and Public Private Partnership courses to mid-level executives at Indian Railway Institute of Transport Management, Lucknow. His research interests are public-private partnerships, infrastructure development, railways, collaborative governance, and nonprofits.

He worked at Harrisburg International Airport in Pennsylvania, USA. He has been a civil servant in India. He worked on Indian Railways in its finance department and last held an assignment on Eastern Railways.
