Dr. Mamta joined IIM Jammu as an Assistant Professor in the area of OB/HRM. She has qualified UGC-NET and holds a PhD in Organizational Behavior from IIT Guwahat, Assam, India. Her doctoral thesis was entitled “The Dynamics of Knowledge Management in Organizations: Role of Leadership, Trust and Organizational Culture”. She has done her Postdoctoral Research in Behavioral Sciences Area at Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, West Bengal, India. Her postdoctoral research work mainly emphasized on the role played by counterfactual thinking in the context of group decision-making. Also, she has obtained her Masters in Industrial and Personnel Psychology from University of Lucknow. Prior to joining IIM Jammu, Dr. Mamta worked as Research Assistant Professor with SRM School of Management, SRMIST, Chennai.
She has authored and co-authored several research papers in the below mentioned areas in journals like International Journal of Conflict Management, International Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology, International Journal of Psychology, Chemical Senses, Frontiers in Psychology, Indian Journal of Health and Wellbeing to name a few as well as chapters in books. She has also presented her research work in conferences of national and international repute, both in India and abroad. Apart from that, she is also actively involved in various cross-cultural studies at international level.
Her research interests include: Counterfactual Thinking, Decision-Making, Knowledge Management, Leadership and Organizational Culture.
