IIM Jammu invites application for the position of Research Associateto conduct study on “Identification of Livelihood and Business Opportunities from Wular lake”. To conduct the study, there is a requirement for hiring of one Research Associates for a period of three months who will conduct the study.

1. Research Associate (One Post) Contractual

Contractual Payment: Rs. 45,000 per month

Qualification:

Essential:

MBA/Master’s in Sociology, Psychology, Economics, Statistics or other relevant fields

Experience:

A total of one year experience to the job, preferably with a reputed national/International organization in social development. Candidates with experience in the relevant field will be preferred.

Job Profile:

The Research Associate is responsible

Roles and Responsibilities:

Conduct literature reviews to gather relevant information for research projects.
Assist in designing research studies, including developing methodologies and data collection techniques.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data using various statistical methods and software.
Collaborate with research teams, faculty, and other stakeholders to ensure the success of research projects.
Present research findings at meetings, conferences, and workshops.

Key Skills/Abilities/Knowledge Required:

Ability to systematically review and synthesize existing research
Capability to critically evaluate data, research methods, and findings to draw informed conclusions.
Ability to document research processes, methodologies, and findings clearly and concisely.
Skill in presenting research findings to various audiences, including academic and non-academic stakeholders.

Location : Srinagar

Reporting Relationships: The Research Associate will report to Program Director.

Mere fulfilling of the minimum qualifications and experience will not vest any right in candidates for being called for Interview/ written/ skills test. Decision of the Institute to call the candidates for interview/ written/ skills test shall be final.
Appointments will be governed by the relevant service rules and regulations of the Institute as amended from time to time.
No correspondence/queries will be entertained from candidates regarding e-mail delays, conduct and result of interview/ written/ skills test and reasons for not being called for interview/ written/ skills test.
In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be detected at any stage even after the issue of appointment letter, the Institute reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication including appointment offer made to the candidate.
In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of Institute shall be final and binding.
Preference will be given to DAP candidates if found suitable.
