The Leadership Summit is an important marquee event at Indian Institute of Management Jammu that resonates with its vision of developing leadership and entrepreneurship. The idea is to bring together visionaries from industry, government, and other walks of life to offer valuable ideas to support the country's economic growth through industrial transformation and the promotion of leadership.
At IIM Jammu, we aspire to bring leaders on a single platform to create ideas that have a meaningful impact on our future. Innovation, collaboration, excellence, integrity and sustainability form the core values of IIM Jammu, which was set up to promote excellence in management education and create a strong industry interface.
With this in mind, the theme for Leadership Summit 3.0 is 'Leadership Next for Atmanirbhar Bharat'. This event spreads across 26th February, Saturday and 27th February, Sunday, 2022.
'Leadership Next for Atmanirbhar Bharat'
Atmanirbhar Bharat, which means "self-reliant India," is a word adopted and popularized by the Indian government in regard to the country's economic goals and progress. The phrase is used in this context to refer to making India a larger and more involved part of the global economy, as well as promoting policies that are efficient, competitive, and robust, as well as policies that promote equity and are self-sustaining and self-generating. This umbrella theme would encompass the discussion on the topics that are relevant to the recent changes impacting the industry today. The panels have been carefully crafted, keeping in mind the scope of topics to be addressed.
With a series of disruptions transforming the professional landscape today, individuals are facing the need to adapt now more than ever before. Be it rapidly digitizing in a corporate setting or developing a competitive edge by unlocking the potential of our gig workforce, and we are at the forefront of shaping the new normal. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to incorporate decision-making with a focus on enhancing the domestic capacities and capabilities of our industries to meet the demand for growth in the following years. There is a dire need to look inwards and assess our preparedness to drive change before we look outwards and seek avenues to assist us in drafting India's global footprint.
The panellists represent different dimensions of society encompassing the government, corporate, academicians, artists and other public life stalwarts. The diversity in viewpoints would help shine a light on tomorrow's distinct and unexplored opportunities. As they share their experiences and insights from their professional career and personal journey, we aim to leverage the wisdom to inspire thought and dialogue on these relevant matters. Only when the emerging leadership is faced with the challenges of tomorrow can we sustain the quest for Atmanirbharta.
